2001 was Absolute's second year on the water. After great results as a first year crew in 2000, there was fire in the belly to do even better in 2001. With a pretty substantial turnover it was practically a new crew. The difference however, was in the discipline and the drive of each individial paddler. The team motto had changed - it was no longer not to come in dead last ... Participating in the same two regattas as the previous year, 2001 marked the beginning of Absolute's steady climb to the ranks of the dragon boat elite.
